After a long 8 month wait from making the first deposit, the new custom made 20 foot Bushtracker caravan was finally ready to be picked up at Kunda Park, between Maroochydore and Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. This happened on the 28 April 2016, but I have been very slack in starting to write things down.....
I was expecting a long delivery day, as I got the run down on the new van and on that front I was not disappointed. Unfortunately from a quality control aspect, I was disappointed although most of the issues were corrected quickly. Two of the messed up issues, an access in a wardrobe for a CPAP machine and a cabinet surrounding the externally accessed BBQ were done by a skilled cabinet maker on the day.
The replacement of the wrong hatch installed above the shower had to wait until the first service, & I also opted to have a box made to protect the conduit from the "range hood" above the stove. It was disappointing to see some very simple things specified on the drawings ignored. The response from Bushtracker was very good, but a little better quality control would have saved them money and made me a much happier customer.......
