I was booked in to the Lansborough Pines Caravan Park, so I could catch up with Carol & Peter Phillips who (normally) live not too far away from us in the Perth Hills.
They had been in Maleny visiting an old friend, whose days in this world were running out fast. Before returning home they had arranged to catch up with me and show me some of that beautiful area around the Glasshouse Mountains and towns up in the Hinterland (or Escarpment for the Geos out there).
We spend a day together, driving around and had a lovely lunch in Montville. Stunning countryside, lots of very interesting shops and great places to eat & stay.....Well worth a visit if you have not been there. Also very wet some times and great dairy country. I believe Maleny Dairy is one of the few still making a profit these days.
Stunning Glasshouse Mountains.
Peter & Carol at the lookout.
Views all the way to the coast from the Hinterland.
Tree ferns at Montville. So tropical.....
Had a great time catching up and seeing some of the area. Unfortunately I ran out of time before another commitment as Landsborough is very close to Australia Zoo, home of the Late Steve Irwin. I am told it is well worth a visit, but that like many other things will have to wait for another day.......

Hi PJ - loving reading your blog. Good job - as you know, I know, from first hand experience the effort, time and patience it takes to be a blogger. All these thoughts, experiences, photos are/will be a great resource for you, and others. Cheers Valerie x PS Yes - Australia Zoo is worth visiting :)
